What an interesting electronic "instrument" this turned out to be. At SONiVOX, we acquired a spectral synthesis technology from DSP guru Jim VanBuskirk, formerly the brainchild behind Gigasampler. Vocalizer Pro works by taking an audio input, turning it into noise, the applying a deterministic spectral filter based on the MIDI input. It is somewhat similar to a vocoder in that you sing and play at the same time as hear your voice follow your keyboard input. It goes beyond this however in giving you a full synthesizer to shape and sculpt your sound.
